Handley-Page Hampden Museum Exhibit

Hello Everyone,

Thought you might be interested in some pictures of a Handley-Page Hampden currently on display at a small air museum in Langley, British Columbia, Canada. I've put them on my Facebook account as an album, so if you're on Facebook then click the link to view them.

http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1623916251407&set=a.1623916091403.8 2247.1641515272#!/album.php?aid=82247&id=1641515272

The aircraft is a composite of three aircraft retrieved from crash sites on the West Coast of Canada (one from 600 ft down off of the coastline!). The museum is unfortunately quite underfunded, as is evident by the condition of the aircraft and the current nature of its display. Elements of the wings have been fabricated from wood to replace components not salvageable from the wrecks, and this unfortunately lead to one of the wings shearing off due to snow build up a few years ago.

From the WW2 period the museum also has a Blenheim IV (of which the nose section and dorsal turret are currently being displayed) and a Lysander.

Regards,

Ian
