Re: 14/12 - Bf109s on eBay & elsewhere , other stuffs
Hi Franck,
Great selection thanks for being our detective, perhaps the 'Poirot' of the Bf109 world!
Number 7 had me stumped (English cricket idiom-when the ball hits the three upright 'sticks' or stumps the batsman is 'out' or stumped). I already have this emblem and it can be found in a number of publications with a variety of different identifications. At first I thought JG52 but the emblem is far too small. In photoshop enhancement a white border is just about recognisable. I believe it to be 2./JG51 who, from looking at a number of other photos, not only did not have their own staffel emblem but did not seem to carry the Geschwader Falcon emblem on the nose either, preferring the Gruppe insignia under the cockpit instead. What are your thoughts please? Perhaps you have a different camouflage lead angle?
Could I play the English Sherlock Holmes next to the Belgian Poirot?
Chris
