North Witham USAAF Base
Gents,
Looking for an entry for July 16/17th 1944 when a 218 squadron Short Stirling EF291 HA-C flown by Aussie F/Sgt Hibberd landed mistaking North Witham for Woolfox Lodge. Aircraft was CAT AC/FB requiring a month at SEBRO, crew un hurt.
Any details on the crash or circumstances most welcome.
