Hii there,
Back to #1, as pointed by Falcon. Bf109F, 1./JG51, summer 1941, in Russia. For example the other side:
http://www.me109.info/display.php?a=e&fid=4791
Number 2.!
9./JG2:
"Gelbe 5"! Let's say Dark Yellow 5. 1°!
Beautiful narrow black cross; 2°
Clear fin with a dark rectangle and some victory bars at horizontal tailplane level; 3°
One clear spot at ~ tip; 4°
"Yellow 5" painted on rectangular washed camouflaged area; 5°
my only problem is that emblem on nose... to conclude it's WNr.5274 flown by Machold.
After a while I decided to correct the former sentence:
In fact, this emblem is not a problem, since the plane did wear a White 15 in 1./JG2, still with Machold, AND the emblem! Hence I am going to conclude that YES it's Machold plane and some colour profiles around there are wrong!
Indeed, doesn't mean he was flying the plane when this belly landing occured; doesn't mean, too, he wasn't.
Cheers, Franck.
