Thank you for posting the link to these wonderful snapshots showing downed Spitfire Vb, AA865, RY-D of 313. (Czech) Sgn lost on April 10, 1942 with Sgt Vaclav Truhlar (787486) at controls. He crash landed and became POW. He sustained serious injuries and was repatriated to England in October 1943. Post-war he joined Czech Air Force only to be killed in crash of Spitfire LF Mk. IXE, SL625, LS-8 on October 10, 1947.
