7./KG 100: Ofw. Freiberg's crew shot down by ships' AA on mission to St. Raphael, interned in Spain. (Source: Ulf Balke's "Kampfgeschwader 100, Wiking."

Has anybody a bit more in this special case, source says saved by Spanish
Cutter , but Spain is very far from St Raphael , nd span. fischers hv nothing to do in that area , even if plane hv crashed in return flight his course for sure don't goes thru Spain...
