I thought that Weiss was StaKap of 4 Staffel before Galland. There's an unexplained gap here.
Weiss was Staka of the 5.Staffel and he took the command over the II.Gruppe on 9.9.1939 after Maj.Spielvogel was shot down over Warsaw.
