Supply canisters
Hi, I have searched without success for some info about the supply canisters dropped by the Luftwaffe to encircled troops (think Cholm & Stalingrad). I mean the torpedo shaped ones with a parachute in the rear end. My questions:
1. What was their capacity (max. weight)?
2. Were they loaded in the bomb bays or slung underneath the plane?
3. Were they only used by bombers or could they be shoved out the door of a Ju-52?
