According to the brief bio in Obermaier's "Die Ritterkreuzträger der Luftwaffe, Band I," Geismann was posted to IV./NJG 1 at the end of 1944. He flew mostly night ground attack missions and by war's end had become a Staffelkapitän, although which staffel is not mentioned. He claimed no arial victories.
