Fw. Hans Pirkl was (had been) a pilot in 6./JG 2. He was wounded on 21 July 41, possibly during Circus 54, and bailed out of his F-2 near Frévent. He did not rejoin the "Richthofen" and served as a Wiener Neustadt test pilot until his fatal accident on 19 March 1942. A close comrade of Siegfried Schnell etc. Cf.
