I have a letter from "The Rats of Tobruk Association" which states:
"On June 14th three hurricanes from 73 and three from 274 sqdn went out to straff Gazala airfield..... On returning to the landing strip Sgt F White crashed and died, F,O R Chatsfild (I assume this is R M Chatfield) landed safe..... F,O Goodman failed to return and was posted missing. His remains were not found until 1943 in a grave dug by Italians."

Does anyone know the serial number and designation of the plane Goodman was flying? Is there any more information on which Italians buried him and when exactly he was found by the allies?
