Gentlemen,
Attached are some pictures of the piece I mentioned. I purchased this in Switzerland from a younger woman who told me that it was her great-grandfather's and that he cut it from an airplane that crashed in their field in England. She wasn't necessarily looking to sell it, but wasn't sentimentally tied to it either. There was quite the attention with others when I was talking with her. Any help or assistance to identify if it's original and if so, what type of plane it may be from would be great. I believe it may be a 110. I'm having trouble figuring the bars. They are not kill markings. I thoiught they may be mission markings, but that doesn't seem to be the German practice. Any advise, assistance etc would be helpful. thanks.
