92 Squaqdron May 1940 - Combat Report
Hot on the heels of my 92 Squadron photo request I am hoping somebody can help solve another 92 Sqn query.
At TNA, Kew, the Combat Reports for 92 Squadron apparently start at 9 September 1940 although I have been sent a draft of a CR for Plt Off Desmond Williams, flying P9374 after t/o at 17.20hrs on 23 May 1940. The reoprt is quite detailed and 'claims' one Me 110 destroyed and two probables. The question is; where is the original of this report filed? I cannot find it! My transcript, I think, originated with John Foreman but I am puzzled as to where it came from, unless it was a transcript from Kew before the large scale thefts that took place in the early 1980s?
Can anyone throw some light?
