Pegge and abandoned by crew. Crashed at Roy Hill, Hadlow Down, near Uckfield, 11.20 a.m. BM Oberfw Karl-Heinz Rauschert and BS Flgr Rudolf Zinnögger both killed, FF Oberfw Kurt Riemann baled out seriously wounded in head and captured on landing at Barham House Farm, East Hoathly - admitted to Tunbridge Wells Hospital, BO Fw Richard Vester baled out slightly wounded in left heel and captured on landing at Whyly House, East Hoathly. BF Uffz Werner Stein wounded, baled out and captured on landing near Hurstmonceux. Aircraft V4+DW 100% write-off.
