Could it be the details of the loss of the crew from HB779 ? who's crew bailed but for the pilot who made the return flight ?
Four crew were taken POW and five were executed.
HB803 was lost the same night was abandoned over allied territory two killed.
see page 129 of BCL vol 6 (1945) for details of both aircraft.
For details on 1945,
HB765 - crash landed Oulton.
HB779 - a/c not lost SoC 11/3/47.
HB785 - 10 KIA crew included 6 RCAF one known to be American.
HB796 - 10 KIA crew include 3 RNZAF 1 RAAF.
HB802 - 10 POW crew included 3 RNZAF, 2 RAAF.
HB803 - 2 KIA.
HB805 - 8 KIA, 1 POW, 1 inj, crew included 1 RNZAF
HB815 - 8 KIA 2 inj crashed in UK.
KJ103 - 1 KIA, 1 inj crashed in UK.
KJ106 - 5 KIA, 5 POW, crew included 2 RNZAF, 1 RAAF and 1 RCAF
KJ112 - 10 KIA.
SR386 - crash landed Gt. Massingham.

For details on 1944,
HB763 - 4 KIA, 6 POW.
HB767 - 9 KIA, 1 RTD(?).
HB787 - 10 KIA crashed on return from ops. Crew included 4 RNZAF 2 RCAF.
HB788 - 10 KIA. crew included 1 RCAF and 1 RAAF.
HB800 - Damaged by Fw190's belly landed at Ford DBR.
SR380 - Crashed at Oulton.
SR381 - 1 inj crashed on return from ops collided with 61 Sqdn Lancaster.
SR382 - 5 KIA, 3 POW.
SR384 - 2 KIA, 7 POW.

Refs to above all from BCL vols 5,6,7 & 8 and AB HA100-HZ999.
Ref is made in earlier post of HB702 - this serial was for a Fairchild Argus II, which was SoC 4.10.45.
