Re: Do24T of Seenotstaffel 7 shot down October 1944

Is the loss described here the one Brian is after for 17th Oct 1944 http://www.dornier24.com/pages/peopl...ke/part04.html. I believe a previous TOCH answer credited the shooting down of IM+RK on 6-10-1944 to W/C Eliot in a Mosquito of 256 Sqd, south of Kalamaki,

Regards Brian Bines

Just noted GQMs returns dated 27-12-43 shows for 21-12-43 Do24T KK+LC Seenot 7 31033 Ff Ofw. Wilhelm Lange, B Ltn.Walter Kampf, Bf Uffz.Hans Heyne, Bm Uffz.Adolf Meixner, Bm Ogef.Heinz Kudtke, Bs.Gef Heinrich Marschmann plus 3 FlugGaste all missing. While the Ludtke report above appears to show a loss in Oct 1944 of a Do24 with Ff Ofw.Lange, B Ofw,Fuhrmann, Bf Fw.Lind, Bm Uffz.Meissner, Bm Uffz.Ludtke, Bs Fw.Wustenfeld plus up to 22 soldiers missing with Lange, Meissner and Ludtke later safe.
