Re: Luftwaffe Personnel Post War Employment
Rudolf Thomas, pilot of 2./ZG 1 flew airliners for Lufthansa post-war.
Wolfgang Schenck returned to South Africa and was a 'bush' pilot for several years (I suspect this was a euphemism for smuggling all kinds of stuff everywhere, as he was quite a character!). He later joined the new Luftwaffe under NATO.
Viktor Mölders became an architect, as did Otto Hintze , Staka of 3./Erpr. Gr. 210.
Hans-Joachim Jabs started up his own company from scratch post-war. It was still going strong when Peter Cornwell and I visited him in the mid-1980s.
Rudiger Proske, pilot with I./ZG 26 (PoW 18/8/40) became a top executive in German television, based in Hamburg.
Georg Jakstadt, pilot of 9./ZG 26 (PoW 27/9/40) returned home post-war into what became East Germany. He was a teacher in East Germany until retirement.
