Interesting that the KU Report ( J-2793) has 1500 hrs. 8 Km East of Caub, Airdistrict XIV. then penciled in Kajb 50deg 06 mins North 7 deg 46 mins East.
Then Disposition of pilot - UNKNOWN.
and penciled in - Pilot Escaped.
I have No idea if the penciled remarks were entered post WW2 or by the German's at the time of search.
The eyewitness report seems to suggest that he saw the pilot hanging from the chute that was caught up on a tree. But what he said was that he saw the chute hanging from a tree, no mention of pilot still being on the chute. At least thats how I read it.
