Air cover over French ports
Can anyone give me information or point to sources about the numbers and models of German fighters defending German warships when they were based in French ports like Brest and La Pallice in 1941 and very early 1942? The RAF and Coastal Command made several raids at various times on Gneisenau, Scharnhorst, and Prinz Eugen.
