#17 there is another picture of that plane in Falcon's site but it's private; hence no access! You can get it in Luftwaffe Im Focus N°6.
So it's a Bf109F-4 definitly; "Gelbe 10" of 9./JG 52. See (for who is able to do it) the overpainted StKz first letter - an M or N - just in front of the "1" and the dark camouflage spot just behind the emblem.
Pilot was said to be Lt. Friedrich Brückmann (doesn't mean He's on the present picture) and since there is a date - February 1942 - we can assume that this picture and the LIF N°6 one where taken either in Charkow or Tarangog.
