When would it suppossedly take place?
Gerd Barkhorn started his combat career quite early, in August 1940.
Later, certainly, he flew at the Eastern Front while Stigler was accupied in Africa.
Besides, let's remember Stigler was member of famous "Schwarm of Liars" (from 4./JG 27) which falsified with premeditation victory claims in August 1942. So his credibility is problematic.
I might be wrong but I doubt it can be truth.
