the question isn't about the accreditation of the claims, but actually whether or not any such claims were really made on this night by Welter at all. There has been an issue for some years concerning post-war compiled Nachtjagd claims lists that have be made available to various researchers, where up to 10-15% of the claims in these lists are pure post-war invention on the part of the compilers of the list, as a 'secuiry feature'.
I have yet to discover any evidence from German documentation/archives that Welter made these claims, and believe at the moment that the claims are a post-war invention.
