The problem seemed to be the insurance for the operation of the submarine when there was this report of UX bombs in the harbour. He was campaigning for the wreackage to be cleared and the bombs found and destroyed. A local diver named Higgins said he had found parts of the aircraft.

I don't know of any submarines operating as tourist attractions in Galway so I take it it never happened.

Yes a tourist ship-read it in 1997-his the pilot still in ther cockpit as what was said..or just a fanciful romantical ..
