Re: RAF Combat Reports

The dealer who sells these "combat reports" has sold many, many such documents on e-Bay over the years.

There have been a considerable number of allegations on the internet concerning this dealer and his father (who, alledgedly has been investigated for forgery of militaria by the UK authorities in the past) over the use of an old typewriter and unused stocks of paper. Many of these "combat reports" have sold for amount in the hundreds of pounds.

The same dealer has made considerable amounts of money (at times numbering in the hundreds of pounds) selling white Royal Navy pattern sweaters (apparently able to be purchased for around 10 pounds) as geniune WWII RAF Frocks Aircrew Sweaters. It is an easily proven fact (purusal of the wartime specification and surviving geniune examples) that the sweaters being sold are not what they are claimed to be.

BUYER BEWARE!
