2ndLt Lindsey L McCall, O-739979, was in the 379th BS, 310th BG. He is buried in the North Africa American Cemetery in Carthage, Tunisia. He is not reported in a MACR, which means either the aircraft he was on was not shot down and he was brought back to base, or he was killed in a non-aviation accident on the ground. I do not find an accident report for the 310th BG for this date either.
Your reference to the 479th BS has to be a typo for 379th BS. Possibly they were on the same plane as McCall (if his death was combat related). You will have to get the squadron or group records from Maxwell to check.
