Hello All:

I read for the first time today, in a different corner of the internet, that several "rare-bird" flying boats, which had been captured from the French, were destroyed in a raid on their mooring site on Lake Constance.

Does anyone have details of the allied units involved, or indeed even the date? (One site says the raid took place in March of 1944, though it does not specify an exact date.) Crews etc. would be a bonus.
