If your witness thinks radial engines and the night fighter hypothesis is followed, then this could well be either a Ju 88 C-6 or Ju 88 G-6. Both had quite an extent cockpit glazing surface.
Between 1943 and 1944, Stab and II./NJG 2 were based at Coulommiers, together with II./NJG 4, whilst I./NJG 2 was based at Chateaudun.
