Re: Oberleutnant Herbert Heck

According to our officer career database (http://www.ww2.dk/lwoffz.html) we have:

HECK, Herbert. 07.42 Oblt., in 2./JG 26 (to 30.07.42 †). 30.07.42 Oblt., 2./JG 26 KIA by Spitfires vic Verlinethun - Fw 190 A-2 (black 4).

Additionally, The Tom Kracker database (http://aircrewremembrancesociety.com...anPilotsH.html) says:

Heck, Herbert. - Oblt. (3/11/1909 in Barmstedt) 4 victories - 2./JG-26 (Channel)Fw 190A-2 Werk # 5303 "Black 4" (lost 7/30/42)Fighter Operational ClaspKIA 30 July, 1942 in aerial combat with a Spitfire of RAF No. 64 Sq. off Arques, near Verlinethun, and crashed near Samer, in his plane. Buried Bourdon Fr., 17/5/174 (Rosseels).

We hope that this helps.
