Re: loss of Arados
Hi Byron, the reason why there were no losses with Ar 196A-3 W.Nr. 0297 D1+FH is that the aircraft received only 5% damages in the combat with the Beaufighters and none of the two crewmembers were injured.
All three Arado-aircraft served with 1./S.A.Gr.126. Regarding the Ju 52-aircraft, the only info I have is that one aircraft served with Seetransportfliegerstaffel 1 and the other two with Seetransportfliegerstaffel 3. Both Staffeln was operating in the area at this time.
