I find this explanation totally implausable. There must be some other explanation. You have to ask: "What foreign aircraft?" Foreign aircraft were not buzzing around landing on wartime Luftwaffe airfields in the Reich, except in rare instances. In Russia, Romania, Hungary, Italy and North Africa it was more common to have the Luftwaffe sharing airfields with air units from other Axis nations.
