Hello,

I'm looking for both German and British accounts relating to the raid on Wilhelmshaven (Shillig Roads) on 04.09.39 by Blenheims and Wellingtons. This was the first significant raid on Germany of the war, resulting in several Blenheims and two Wellingtons shot down by flak and fighters. This is for a major combat painting on this subject by "Eagles Over Europe" Art Director Jack Fellows.

I'm looking for eye-witness or participant accounts from either side of this attack.
