Re: Soviet airfield near Baku

If someone tells me they are looking for airfields around Baku I don’t look for them in Armenia (Lenkoran), or Turkmenistan.
Is this some sort of a put-down aimed at me? FYI, "near Baku" is a highly relative term. What is "near" to you may not be "near" to Laurent R., and what is "near" to Laurent R. may not be "near" to me.

I have a small file with about 8% to 10% of the wartime airfields in the USSR taken from the Ic (Fremde Luftwaffen Ost)/Lw.-Führungsstab publication Flugplätze der U.d.S.S.R. dated 1943 and from various other FLO studies and interrogation reports. I selected those within 200-220 km of Baku and put them up as a quick offering for Laurent's consideration using the word "some" to convey to him that it was just a sample.

On the other hand, if you have the time to spend hours and hours constructing a comprehensive list of all possibilities, then I am sure Laurent will be most grateful.
