This is a real puzzle ..
Look at this ring: it was found by a friend of mine in a FW190 crash site near les Mureaux/Chapet/verneuil (close to Paris) and it "might" have happened on 5 July 1944 (not sure)
inside is writen "Helga 29 X 1942"
He thought of Flugzeugführer Hans-Helmut Beitz (*) but is not sure of this.
Can anybody help put the pieces together ?
