Re: Ju188 crash Wiltshire 1943

This ac took off from Chievres as one of 12 to carry out a bad weather nuisance raid on Southampton. It crashed at Church Farm, Maiden Bradley killing Lt Kurt Recklin (pilot), Uffz Karl Overhoff (observer), Uffz Karl-Heinz Siegler (WOp) and Uffz Karl Weisskamp (gunner). Recklin had arrived on 12/KG 6 at Bretigny 16 April 43 before joining 3/KG 6 in Foggia 7 Jul 43. All 4 were buried at Heycombe Cemetery, Bath.

Best example of what a I/KG 6 Ju 188 looked like can be got from Mark Postlethwaite's painting-look at his website and you should get an idea http://www.posart.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=87
