III./KG 77 - October 23, 1940

Hello - Does anyone have detailed information on III./KG 77? Specifically, I'm looking for info pertaining to the Ju88 of 7./KG 77 that crashed on October 23rd, 1940 at Neuilly Hospital in France. The book by Mr. de Zeng and Mr. Stankey states that the Gruppe was involved in night raids over London at this time. Information in The Battle of Britain, Then and Now states that the aircraft crashed "following operations over the Channel. Exact circumstances not recorded". Would it be safe to say the aircraft was damaged following some kind of engagement over the Channel before or after its flight to London? It's also probably possible that the Gruppe could have been spit for different missions at the time?

I understand info is probably pretty slim but it would be fun to find out. Also, the Then and Now book states one crewman (Fw. Kissel) was killed and two others were wounded. According to my info, one of those wounded was an Unteroffizer (and Beobachter) by the name of Lukasche.

This is my first post on this forum. I'm glad to be here and appreciate the generosity and knowledge of the forum.

Brian
