"les bains " means swimming spot or "on the beach" so the 1,5 mile long area from Dunkerque's harbour to Zuydcoote hospital along the beach is called "Malo-les-bains" though we have Malo, Malo Terminus and Leffrinckoucke on a map. When taking a pic on the beach, its very difficult to know if you are in front of Malo or Leffrinckoucke... (try it with pics of Dunkerque's beach )
