Hi Brian,

Ju88 A-4 KG101 Ff Fw August Spoo +, B Uffz Heinz Heimbach +, Bf Fw Wilhelm Bonsel +, Bs Uffz Ferdinand Dur (umlaut over u) fatally inj. died 7-4-44. Hit by German Flak as it approached Jersey crashed near Eden Chapel, St. Saviors 6/7-4-44. On mission to IOW to bomb military installations..

He 111H-20 S3+NK 2/TG30 700240 Ff Fw Karl Gruner,B Ofw Wolfgang Kettenbuil, Bf Uffz Paul Stiemke, Bw Uffz Franz Zeidler all killed Bd Uffz Albert Klein mortally injured died in hospital next day. Aircraft on supply flight to Fortress Cherbourg., approached Jersey at low level with starboard engine on fire. Light Flak from Fort Regent St. Helier engaged and the Heinkel crashed at Samares, St. Clement approx. 2330 hrs. on 20-6-44.

Small parts of both aircraft were on display in the Underground Museum Jersey,

The Sinel Occupation Diary says just before the Heinkel crashed a large number of parachute containers were dropped, these were approx. 4 foot long by 18 inches in diameter. They contained ammunition and small-calibre shells and were assumed to be dropped in mistake for Cherbourg
