Hello,
This Bf109E-3 from Stab./JG51 made a force landing near St. Englevert, France on 28.07.40, and was subsequently recovered for repair. We're profiling this a/c for the EoE Project but are seeking additional views of it, especially the areas for the full Stab markings on both sides of the fuselage, which on the port side are obscured by on-lookers.

This a/c carried a unique, and very large tail swastica, which can be seen in the starboard side distance shot during the salvage operation. Besides a long Stab bar on the starboard side, no other Stab markings appear to be visible on that side. On the port side there are two bars, -+-, but additional stab markings may exist in front of the bar.
1) Does anyone know of any additional photos of either side of this a/c?
2) Has anyone ever seen examples of such a large swastica on a combat Bf109E during this period of the war?
Regards,
Larry Hickey
