schnellmeyer is on a distinguished road
RAAF Sunderland No.10 Squadron .

Can anybody please help me with photos or details of the following crew and their plane.
On March 5 , 1941 a Sunderland ( RB-J, P9604 ) commanded by Sqdn. Hugh Birch took off from Mount Batten on a patrol off the southwest coast of Ireland .
While on patrol off the Irish coast the Sunderland was attacked by two HE 111 from KG27 . The Sunderland shot down one of the HE111's "1G+EK" and damaged the second which headed back to it's base in France . All the crew of " 1G+EK" were killed when the plane crashed into the sea .
I am researching this crash and would be very grateful for any material on the Sunderland crew , thanks.
