Re: Pilots of No.316 " Warszawski" Squadron .
Ad Anders, a few details. He escaped from Warsaw (the city had surrendered on 28.09.39) early in the morning on 26.09.39 on turistic, and old plane PZL-5 with Ryszard Malczewski. The took of from Lotnisko Mokotowskie in Warsaw (Warszawa). To the plane were atteached two gilders, which landed somewhere in Góry Świętokrzyskie.
PZL-5 had landed in Hungary and was 'interened' there, and later pilots had escaped from Hungary to France and to GB.

PS
Airfield was under German fire, it was a front line. It was not easy task.
