8 June 1940 3./KG1 Heinkel He111H-3 (2911). Shot down by Hurricanes of Nos.32 and 79 Squadrons over Rouen and belly-landed at La Crique, north of Bosc-le-Hard, 9.30 a.m. BS Flgr Christian Jetter (of 2./KG1) killed, BF Gefr Oskar Kaluza (of 2./KG1) captured wounded, FF Lt Heinz Wasserberg and BO Uffz Karl Gundlach both captured unhurt – all later released. Aircraft 100% write-off.
8 June 1940 3./KG1 Heinkel He111H-3. Shot down by Hurricanes of Nos. 32 and 79 Squadrons east of Neufchâtel-en-Bray 9.15 a.m. HB Fw Harry Wunnicke, BM Fw Karl Rogoß, FF Uffz Paul Schuckließ, BF Uffz Heinz Jütte, and BS Flgr Kurt Kugler all captured unhurt – later released. Aircraft 100% write-off.
8 June 1940 3./KG1 Heinkel He111H-3. Returned slightly damaged in attacks by Hurricanes of Nos. 32 and 79 Squadrons between Neufchâtel-en-Bray and Rouen 9.20 a.m. BS Flgr Ernst Huber badly wounded, rest of crew unhurt. Aircraft 10% damaged - repairable.
8 June 1940 3./KG1 Heinkel He111H-3. Returned damaged by Hurricanes of Nos. 32 and 79 Squadrons over Neufchâtel-en-Bray 9.20 a.m. BF Uffz Gerhard Lewioda killed, BM Fw Ottmar Jung badly wounded – admitted to field hospital in Lille, rest of crew unhurt. Aircraft 40% damaged but repairable.
11 June 1940 1.(H)/14 Henschel Hs126B-1. Shot down by H-75s of GC II/4 during observation sortie of columns south of the Marne between Chalons and Épernay and over-turned in heavy crash-landing 11.10 a.m. Possibly that claimed by S/Lt Cordier, S/Lt Baptizet, Sgt de la Flechère, and Sgt Posta near Annelles, south of Rethel. BO Lt Karl-Heinz Schreiber (Staffel Bild-Offizier) badly wounded in left leg – later amputated, FF Fw Gerhard Wendler unhurt. Aircraft 100% write-off.
11 June 1940 2.(H)/23 Henschel Hs126B-1. Shot down by H-75s of GC II/4 during observation sortie south-east of Rethel 11.15 a.m. Possibly that claimed by S/Lt Cordier, Adj Tesseraud, Sgt de La Chapelle, Sgt Puda, and Sgt Jaussaud near Annelles. BO Lt Eberhard Peters wounded, pilot unhurt. Aircraft 70% damaged - write-off.
19 June 1940 Stabsstaffel KG4 Heinkel He111H-4 (2894). Shot down by F/Lt A.G. Malan of No.74 Squadron during pre-attack night reconnaissance sortie and crashed in Springfield Road, Chelmsford, 12.30 a.m. BO Oberlt Heinz-Georg Corpus, BM Oberfw Walter Gross and BF Fw Walter Vick all killed, FF Lt Erich Simon baled out and captured wounded. Aircraft 5J+GA 100% write-off.
German documents indicate that this aircraft was engaged in an attack on Thameshaven.
11-12 June 19402./KGr.126 suffered no losses
