Re: Seeking photos of RAF 3 SQ Hurricanes down during the WC/FC of May-June 1940

Hello,

Related to 3 SQ losses, we think that we've recently identified photos of the 13 May FL of 3 SQ Hurricane, L1901, of Flight Officer Albert Ransome Ball badly WIA in the leg-PoW & DoW 4 June, 1940. His FL in open farm fields with no distinctive landmarks was the result of air combat in the area between Louvain (Louven) and Wavre, Belgium. These two locations are some distance apart. Can anyone pinpoint the actual point where FO Ball set down more precisely than the above? He may have been in combat in an area between those two towns, but this doesn't mean that that is where he eventually force-landed.

Any help would be appreciated.
