I think you are looking at at least 2 different pilots here.
The officer database that has been quoted in this forum also has a Gerhard Schoen (or is it Schön ? - lost in translation?) as Kammandeur of III,.NJG1, prior to this he is listed in 3./ZG26 and later held various training positions.
