Re: Actual crew configuration of Do 217

Hello. I think I can help. I have the reprinted repair, and service manuals of the DO 217 E-K, and M. The radio equipment was on the upper back wall of the cockpit. This is in easy reach of the ball turret gunner. The engine, fuel, and oil instruments were forward of the electrical control panel, and circuit breakers. These were all on the starboard side of the cockpit. Bomb sight, and the control equipment for weapons release, and remote control for guided weapons were in front of the engine, fuel, and oil instruments. On the port side in the front was the control column, on the front of the cockpit port side is the pilot seat with the flight control, throttle flaps, ETC. on the Port side wall. Behind this is a map box with a large ammunition container for two of the defensive machine guns. Behind the ammunition container was more radio, and direction finding equipment. Directly above the window for the lower gunner was another piece of electrical equipment. I forgot what it was for, and I do not have the books with me right now. This layout was for the K, and M. The layout for the E,J, and N were different in that more of the engine gauges, were on the panel in front as well as the master compass.
Good luck!
