Ltn. Hans Krug 5./JG 26
Ltn. Krug became an PoW over England on 7. September 1940. Sent to CDN in the PoW Camp at Bowmanville. He escape on 16. April 1942 and reached San Antonio/TX. at about 1. May 1942 where he was arrested and sent back to Canada. The most interested part is, that an restaurant owner in Detroit Michigan helped Krug during his escape and for this he was sentend to life in prison. Are there more details about this man? Work he for the Abwehr?
