Re: WNF Photographs, Installment No. 2
Salut Ouidjat!
Well, first, thank you very much for the lead to the WNF photos being sold on eBay. Some readers have explained my delay better even than I could: a persistent low-grade sickness, followed by another week away from home on a highly stressful and demanding personal mission. The WNF images are somewhat helpful, I suppose that is the best way to say it.
For a long time we have had a very fine book on WNF by Haberfellner and Schroeder. This volume has a great many (but not all) of the photographs being auctioned on eBay. It appears that the authors "skimmed off" the best of the images for publication in their book. Understandable. Thus, I have not gotten any new data (yet) but have gained some "fill in" views and confirmation of suspicions about certain aircraft or production blocks. The new photos have been useful in this regard, I'm happy to see them.
Do be aware, if of interest to you, that Martin Handig has a new, just released book of 288 pages on the Luftwaffe in Austria. It is available from Gabi at Christian Schmidt.
With best regards,
RA
