Re: Fate of " 1G+DK" from KG27
I got the photos from the family of Ofw. Toni Boehner who was on " 1G+EK" when it was lost off Ireland and these photos were taken shortly before the crash . Toni has also written on these photos showing his position on "1G+EK" , when I enlarged the photos you can clearly make him out out as the photos are of a very high quality , I guess this information is good enough to state that this HE11 is the one that was lost off the Irish coast . Just to add a little info , Toni's body was the only one recovered from this crash and he is now buried in the German Military Graveyard in Glencree , Co.Wicklow . His family will travel over from Germany later this year to visit his grave and pay their respects .
In total I have over thirty photos from Toni's wartime photo album .
