Re: Info on crash of Bf110 in the late-1940 or early-41 period

The 29-Sep-40 loss was reported as a Bf 110C by the usual sources, which could be a typo in the records, but I have another loss for WNr. 3422 as a Bf 110E. Does anyone have any other example of a 110C being upgraded to a 110E? WNr. 3222 is missing in my database, so Matti may be entirely correct, particularly given Larry's description of the wreck. Does anyone have any idea when he may have posted that WNr?

Bf 110E-1, 3422, n.n., , I., 3., ZG 1, , , DD+YB, , 30-Sep-42, Rammed Kl 35 WNr. 3070 during landing due to poor visibility., , Lfl.4/Eins.Osten, Gen.Qu.6.Abt. (mfm #7)-Vol.11; Vasco, The Sting of the LW, p.134, , Obliwskaja, 80%, F, , ,

In the 110C-110E category I have this, which certainly has to be a mistake (me or the records?):

Bf 110C-7, 3418, Herzog, Ofw. Karl, , II., 6., ZG 26, gelbe P, 3U+JP, , , 07-Oct-40, Crew KIA due to Luftkampf with Spitfire from 609 Sq. (F/L Robinson)., Luftkampf with Hurricane from 238 Sq. south of Yeovil per Menke. Also Bf 110D from post-production test flights., Kanal, Gen.Qu.6.Abt. (mfm #2)-Vol.3; Vasco/Cornwell, Zerstörer, p.235; Ring, ZG 26 loss list; Mason, p.436; BoB, T&N, p.679; Menke, SKZ list, , Kingston Russell Dairy Farm, Long Bredy bei Dorchester, 100%, F, Bf Ogefr. Herbert Schilling, 16.30,
Bf 110
, 3418, n.n., , III., III., ZG 26, , , , , 14-Apr-41, Bauchlandung due to enemy fire., , X.Fl.Korp/Mittelmeer, Gen.Qu.6.Abt. (mfm #3)-Vol.4, , Nordafrika, 90%, F, , ,
