Hi Horst,

According to a very old German book, the Helenenberg Funkmeßgerät would have been an early version of the Freya and would have operated in the 2.2-mm or 2.4-mm bandwidth range. It had a range of 120 km, so it would have been able to pick up the incoming formation of Battles.
