Re: eBay: Bf 109 4./JFS 4 plus emblem!!

This emblem was recently discussed on LEMB. The emblem was identified as ErgJGrMerseburg on page 170 "Die Flugzeugfuhrer Ausbildung der Deutchen Luftwaffe Band II" by Sven Carlsen & Michael Meyer , VDM, 2000. The eBay seller Macfly is Michael Meyer but Sven Carlsen has said that that identification is now known to be incorrect although it was influenced by Karl Riese "DK und Rt 13". It is definately 4(eins)/JFS4 as captioned by Michael and was never carried by ErgJGr Merseburg. When the latter unit was disbanded its aircraft were randomely distributed among the Erg Staffeln, so there is no direct connection between ErgJGr Merseburg and JFS4.
